The Predictions of José, Barça's Fab obsession, and the price on Malaga

Spanish soccer has been overflowing with news over the past week. But out if all, Mourinho's joining Real Madrid overshadows all others. The 47-year old who guided Inter to the triple: the scudetto, league cup, and UEFA Champions League has declared that he is ready to jumpstart the band of under-acheivers. Stating that the first year with him at the helm will roll on without incident, but he says the secon year will be the year Real win the La Liga, if not the Champions League as well. After all, he did say that the second year was HIS year at Chelsea, where they won the league and FA Cup double. What's to stop him now?

For the past few months, rumours have been circulating that young Cesc Fabregas will be joining Barcelona from Arsenal over summer. This has raised a number of football expert's eyes, saying that Fab will remain committed to Arsenal. Unfortunately, the Spanish giants refuse to prove any of these. Typical, the tight-lipped Spaniards. Cesc, who grew up in Barça's youth academies before joining Arsenal, is said to be moving come mid-July. As always, the Spanish people remain hopeful.

As of last week, ANOTHER Arab sheikh has set out to buy Malaga after they failed to finish well in La Primera. The struggling La Primera club were saved from delegation after a 1-1 draw with Real Madrid on the final day of the season. He has set his price at twenty million but has yet to announce an official price. That will be said on press on June 15, in Spain. As if they have money to throw around like that. (Actually they do. Point closed.)
